  I can't express how much I appreciate the help of a dispatcher and detective at this Sheriff dept (not sure I'm allowed to mention names but I'd be happy to). I work in transportation and I've had trucks stolen in Tallahassee, FL and Houston, TX. Neither place helped me or even faked that they cared. I lost two trucks, all of my investment and two people out there received free vehicles with no punishment. A third truck was stolen in Shepherd, TX and when I called the Sheriff with a sinking feeling, I cannot tell you how amazed I was to find out not only did they care, but the extent to which they were willing to go to help me from becoming a victim yet again. They stayed in touch with me and followed every detail. They found and retrieved my stolen truck before the perp even knew it had been reported so it had very little damage and nobody was hurt.
